Anna will do it right and if it is not right, she will make it right at her cost.
She completely replaced the lining in my husband's leather jacket. that meant she had to use the old one to make up a pattern etc. AND she kept all the labels from the jacket and put them back in, so it still looks like the original jacket. That however, was around $150.
by the way, $10 to hem a pair of pants is cheap. And when you take any clothing to any alteration place, take along the shoes or whatever you plan to wear with that outfit. Makes a big difference in how you hem pants.
I'm bumping this thread because of the awesome experience I had there today.
I bought a couple of suits this summer in the US and needed them altered. I took them to a well-known suit shop and it was absolutely brutal, I looked like I was wearing flood pants.
So I took them over to Anna's, one was really bad and it didn't have enough material to make it long enough. She used a "spacer" or something to fix it and I can't even tell nor would I have ever known.
I also took in some of my "fat" suits to see if she could alter them. She honestly told me that she could, but it would look awful so not to bother.
Today I went to pick up a jacket I had. I had torn the pocket (on the outside) of a fairly expensive suit, she repaired it. It looks incredible, I can barely tell it was ever damaged. It cost a bit of money (about 35 bucks) but it was entirely worth it.
She's very professional and she's the actual seamstress. Most places you end up just talking to some rep, who relays the information or the chalking to the tailor, here you are getting the actual tailor.
I've been very pleased so far with her work and turnaround. I know how hard it is to find a good tailor.
