Really solid effort from everyone invloved with the exception of Langkow, Iginla and the powerplay. Probably all related but Langkow can't make a pass to save his life and Iggy is gripping the stick too tight. It seemed like Bertuzzi was penaltized for having them as linemates. And why is Cammalleri on the 2nd PP unit?
Glad I'm not the only one that noticed that Conroy keeps repeating the same fatal mistake over and over again. I know he has some value to this team but the next time he joins a defenseman behind the net leaving his man wide open in front of the goaltender should result in a one game benching to get the message across.
It looked like the Avs were trying to win 1-0 then once tied trying only to get to extra time but can't take anything away from the Flames as that type of effort will result in more wins than losses. If only they could bottle it up.
lol.........what was the 50/50 worth tonight Bingo? Would the kid let the old man buy a beer with his winnings?
I thought the Goat was the PP. Tie game, and a 5-on-3 for a minute and a half on fresh ice? Gotta bury those opportunities.
50/50 was 20K. Quite the Christmas bonus for someone.
I agree about the PP and would add the top unit as a whole. Seemed like the bottoe two lines would really get some momentum going with their incessant forecheck only to have to top line come out and dilly-dally around for 40 seconds.
Perhaps that's a bit nitpicky as overall this was a great performance by the Flames.

I hate games like last night because they cause me to think they should win the NW in a walkover. And then they do what they usally do and I despair. I guess I'll see myself in person where they are at on Saturday...

budaj was riding a combination of luck and reflexes last night. at times it looked like he was trying to mess things up back there and he couldnt.
I agree - Budaj was crap until the third period, when he finally made some good saves. Before that, he was really fighting the puck - there were about 20 shots in the first two periods that he did not see, or juggled badly.
COL looked like a team that had been partying in Banff for two days.
