Rene Bourque looks like a beast! I didn't quite realize how big he was. I've always known how quick he was, but this is the first time I realized how good he's going to look in Flames silks.

This is a little OT but watching the Backlund development camp is that Sutter in the background at the end who answers the question what is your biggest goal?
The answer was play with the Calgary Flames. If this has been discussed in another thread already sorry and please don't spam me with fatas, to nice outside to sit on the computer trolling threads :P

Bert looks and sounds like he has the right attitude coming in....he's trimmed down, too. I liked the fact that he feels he is still young and can contribute...to me that's half the battle towards making it true.

Thought it was Kinger myself, sounds like something he would say.
"Obviously I'm well aware I wasn't the most popular pickup in Calgary Flame history but at the same time I think you've got to give it a little time and give me a chance," he offered. "I can't lie to you it's not the jersey I thought I was going to wear, but at the same time I played enough games here to know what kind of fan base and what kind of team they are."
"I'm just gonna come in and put myself in a good position to be successful with my conditioning. This team has been there right from the past five, six seven years," Bertuzzi said.
"It's been on the brink and I think that I'm capable of coming in and helping out and contributing to them."
Peter Maher has said the Vancouver media is amazed how much Bert is already talking with reporters in Calgary.

You can really tell he has slimmed down. I think it's a good sign that he is serious about rejuvinating his career.

Bert was notorious in Vancouver for making reporters feel small during "interviews". I saw one interview a long time ago when i lived there.....bert responds to a dumb/repetitive question with a raised eyebrow, silence, and a look of "how dumb can you be" on his face.
