Play has been suspended, but Weir is in the clubhouse at -6 with a share of the lead. Great start. Ames didn't even get teed off.

I watched some very good golf, and when it wasn't raining the course looked in immaculate condition. It would have been nice to see a few more big names, but the week after The Open will always be tough to get players.
Chez Revie won leading wire-to-wire, solid golf all 4 rounds. Tough to catch a guy when he starts out 65-64 and doesn't make any mistakes.
Mike Weir finished 5th, which was a solid finish. He actually tied or beat Revie on 3 of the 4 rounds, but giving Revie 6 strokes in round 2 was the difference.
Anthony Kim seemed destined to win, with a 2nd round back nine course record of 29 then a third round 64, but he blew up on the final day and shot a 75
All in all, a pretty darn good tournament.

Location: I ain't playing nose tackle in a 3-4 defence

So are they holding it at Glen Abbey again next year? I thought I heard that many guys weren't too interested in returning to play that course again next year, but that the one in 2010 is a course that many tour players are very interested in playing. IMO, it's the worst date on the PGA tour calender in terms of wanting to attract top players so they'll have to look for ways to make the tournament as attractive as possible to the players.

I am just happy Weir didn't win...but pretty slow tourny all around with all the delays I found it really hard to keep up with it. I just relied on the highlights.

I know the CPGA would like to move it to a western course for a few years, but with guys flying back from England the pros didn't like the idea of the extra 4 hours flight to the west. With it already difficult to get players, the CPGA didn't need more issues.
Did anyone else see the PGA commercial with Weir talking to Gretzky about playoffs, and Wayne suggests a playoff beard? I had a good laugh about that one.
