What do you think it would take for Sutter to sign this guy to play in the top 6? I think our bottom six looks a lot more impressive, but a Fedotenko would round a top six nicely in my opinion.
Made 2.9 million last year and didn't offer much in return in terms of play.
That being said, if Avery doesn't work out I hope Sutter grabs this guy to fill out our top six. It would take about 3 million methinks, maybe a little more.
He made 2.9 million on a one year contract with the Islanders who had 2/3 top six wingers at the time. He certainly didn't play well enough to earn a significant raise.
I think a two or three year contract for 2.5-2.75 per season would be enough. However if teams were to get into a bidding war desperate for a top six winger he might go higher.
