Default Flames Central Season Opener

Saw the Lethbridge thread and thought it seemed like a good idea. So I'm thinking maybe if we get enough of us in Calgary (who don't have season tickets) it might be fun to try and get one of those suites up top of Flames Central. If anyone knows the costs of that post it in here, and at the very least we could just go and get a couple tables in the virtual arena

This is a great idea, but I think it would have to be a reserved suite or whatever... getting a couple tables would mean getting there at opening time I think.

What's wrong with getting there at opening time?

Do you know if it costs money to get one of the suites or is it if you have enough people they just give it to you?

My buddy was trying to book there for a stag party on an off night when there was absolutely no sporting events on and it was close to a grand. Game nights are almost double that. They have the exact prices in a PDF pamphlet that they send to you if you request it and we couldn't believe how pricey it was.

Call Bottle screw bills and you can book the entire back room for no cost. TV's not as cool but at least you can reserve and the beer is waaaaaaaaaay cheaper.

I have 3 words:

Schanks Big Screen.

The atmosphere is great and every seat's got a TV. Service is another thing though... its bad.

Have to agree. Its almost like being at a game *during playoffs* when we score. Its great.

It is $2000 that includes a $1500 tab. So $500 for the room and you have to spend $1500 on food and drink.

I can confirm. My company looked into it (which means they made me look into it) and to book the executive suites - of which there are 3: "Center Ice", "Left Wing" and "Right Wing" - was a lot more than we were prepared to pay, at least during a game night.

Also, Bottle Screw has many more beers, and if you drink enough of them, you will get your name on a plaque on the wall.

Shanks would work, the only issue is its not central. I can't remember where Bottle Screws is, but I like the sound of that back room.

So lets see how many we have that are interested and then try to book that.

ah geez. Bottle Screws is great. I go there for lunch all time. its two blocks from my office.
For those who don't know. It on 10th ave and 1 st SW and it has the giant carve out of Lanny McDonalds on the steps.

If we go there, I can go straight there after work to make sure we get a table if we don't reserve. But I'm fine with Shanks or somewhere else more local. So whose in and where do you think we should go?
