A whole season with McGeough again?
This man cannot retire soon enough.

Thank god. Worst official in the NHL by a country mile, period.

I will miss him. Always fun to watch him waive off a goal for like 15 minutes after the original call.

Good news.
Hopefully he can screw the Oilers a couple more times with the "handpass" call this season though!

Will that make the McGeough edition of NHL 07 a collectors item?
Who has the photo handy...

I figured the best news of the year would be that he's retiring before the start of this season, but small mercies I guess.

Now RBK won't have to spend a fortune trying to manufacture another helmet for that giant cranium. Maybe their overall prices will go down? HAHA!! Me funny!!

McGeough's problem was that he forgot that we didn't pay to watch him. The best referee's are the ones you never notice. Ref's have a tough job and I realize that they sometimes make errors, but Mick always seemed to make a big production out of every call.

Why an announcement? Why not retire now? Does he think the league will give him a farewell tour or something? I don't foresee teams rolling out the red carpet or rocking chairs as gifts.
