It's just not the same without the both of them...

Luongo is crying to the ref about a hit, and shot from the blueline beats him to cost them the series.
Bingo bango bongo, his name is Roberto goat hornso...
(Actually considering he stopped 56 shots, and his team was down 3-1 in the series, I think he gets a pass on this one).

I thought he had got a defective tv. The technology was in its infancy. It took a long time to figure that one out."

Why are we celebrating this? They made it closer to the cup than we did. Even though I am glad they are out of the playoffs, to me it's more a sigh of relief than anything else.

My thoughts exaclty, this year we have no right to mock them. Unfortunatley.
I hate to admit it, but I ever so slightly warmed to the Nucks this year just by watching Luongo in the playoffs. Solid goalie.

Yeah, I have to agree with goin and Bruce, it kind of seems like an odd thing to poke fun of when considering our season....
Nope, I'll celebrate every Canuck defeat to the end of time.

We hate it when our friends become successful, And if they're northern That makes it even worse and If we can destroy them You bet your life we will destroy them. If we can hurt them, well, We may well.
We hate it when our friends become successful,
We hate it when our friends become successful.

Interesting site. The Flames/Oilers rivalry is officially tied at 93-93. The Flames own the regular season matchups and the Oilers own the postseason matchups.
I really did not value having Luongo in net at the start of the year. I didn't even have Vancouver making the playoffs, so props to them.
Nasuland is dead weight on the ice though. He did have a few goals this series, but that was it. He's afraid to get dirty in the corners, his defense game is weak at beast and he's lost that spark he use to have.

Well I won't HA HA the Canucks this year...they did make it further into the playoffs than the Flames. But at least I can go down to Florida not having to worry about them going to the Finals or something silly like that!
GO SENS GO!!!

Pretty interesting that going into the playoffs, so much was made about how any team in the West could have success in the playoffs yet the three best teams - Detroit, San Jose, Anaheim - have performed far above the other five. The results tell the story but having watched a ton of games in the playoffs, these are very clearly the best three teams in the West with a huge dropoff after.

don't forget Colorado, if only they had made the playoffs they so richly deserved they would have been easily handling the socalled 'big 3'
while in retrospect, seeing the 3 NW teams and Dallas being off the pace is not surprising, I still thought Nashville could have shown more (despite having drawn a tough first round opponent to be sure)
