Panthers Aquire Cory Sarich

In a move to bolster the blueline, the Florida Panthers aquired defenceman Cory Sarich on Sunday. Sarich can step right into the lineup and will be counted on to hold the fort on the 3rd line pairing with Mr. Dick Tarnstrom.

The 27 year old Sarich is a RFA but is expected that he will look to stay on with the Panthers for several more years.

Heading to the Rangers is a 1st(clb) 2008.

It was tough giving up a 1st but it is just so far away from being developed. Besides, the Panthers organization fully expect Chad to take that Jackets team to new heights next season making the 1st crap anyways.
