Default BC Lions... bounty hunters???

Allegedly BC Lion players would get rewards if they injured a Stamps player..

This is pretty serious if true... although i am sure this happens more often than we think...

Wow, quite the story. Will be curious how the league handles this.

What a bunch of whiners the Stamps are. Every defence puts a bounty on peoples heads. It's the nature of the game. The Stamps are lying through their teeth if they claim they don't have some bets going around amongst the players for laying someone out. Creehan must have saw Clermont out at a restaurant and figured the only way a CFL player can afford to eat out is if he collected a bounty.

Damnit, the bounty should've been more. Not enough players hurt for November 5th!

Go Riders!

Interesting that the league fined Creehan and Clermont. Creehan obviously for mouthing off but what was Clermont fined for? If Clermont is being fined for what the league thinks was an attempt to injure then how the heck can you fine Creehan for pointing out the offense?

Not so much that, but was Clermont suspended for anything? I have not seen the game, hit, etc...but...if this is why the league fined him, then wouldn't you think a suspension would also be in order (just following in a logical manner):

Lions player Jason Clermont was also fined for his actions against Calgary player Jermaine Chatman, which left the Stampders player with a broken left arm.

I think he was fined for the "bounty" comments.

I'm a Stamps fan but man, SHUT THE ##### UP!!!

Just play some ball and stop complaining
They are getting a bad rep around the league

When Trick Lewis and Jermaine Hopeless open their mouth, I have to cringe when my Rider fan buddy makes fun of them, cause I don't even want to stick up for those two fools

One of many who is too boring; thinks that there should be rules regarding grammar in custom user titles, and also makes moderators wonder if there is a charachter limit here. I mean come on- you would think that would be a limitation in the software

Because Creehan was not pointing out the offense (that was obvious), but rather was slandering an opponent with what is effectively a conspiracy theory.

Unless he can prove his allegations, Creehan should be fired.

The Stamps are such babies. Yes, he would break his arm for a steak dinner . Like Johnson said, words can't explain how dumb that is. I feel sorry for the good guys caught on both sides of this (Dickenson, D'Angelis, etc). However I love the rivalry this has brought between the two teams. It's so intense right now. A Stamps/Lions Western Final would be an amazing game. I hate the Stamps but i'm kinding of wanting them to get by Sask just so I can see that game.

PS....Shut up Nik Lewis!

LOL, worry about the whiny bi**es on your own team first.

AJ Gass kicked a player for free.

Yeah and that's not right either. I never said the Esks didn't have "whiny bi**ches". Every team has them. But to suggest a player kicked someone for a steak dinner, that's flat out dumb.

you may not like how they did it, but they needed to raise attention. They have been playing dirty all year ... I doubt there was a bounty, and I'm sure Denny Creahan knew that, but they have been dirty as he//

Notice how DC brings this up, and then Clermont gets fined?? And you know the refs for the western final (whoever they are) have heard the story about 15 times. Mission acomplished.

It gets way more pub with the bounty line though. That's all he wanted.
