The maximum players a team can lose is 2. Only players that are 23 and under are waiver free. Any player over 23 years of age is eligible for the waiver draft, both in the CPHL and AHL.
Each team can protect 12 F 6D 2G or 13F 6D 1G or 12F 7D 1G. If a GM is lucky enough to be able to protect all of his/her players and still wishes to partake in the draft, he/she MUST make player(s) available from the 23 and under age group. A team can only lose one goalie and one defenceman, all other skaters are limited to the max of 2.
Each selection will cost the GM taking a player $100,000 to the team he took the player from.
The order shall be the reverse of the Final CPHL Standings from the year previous. 30 - 1
Only teams who missed the playoffs can select in round one from last place to 14th last place. Then all teams select in round two. We will draft until all teams have passed once, when you pass once you will be dropped from the draft.
If a team selects a player, he/she must make available another player from his/her protected list.
In the first round, no club may claim from a club in its own division.
If a claimed player is waived by the claiming club after the draft, the team that lost the player has first claiming rights. (Money does not get returned).
A team may NOT select any player that puts them OVER the salary cap at the time of the draft.

last year was dumb...too many players were selected and took about 2 hours...Im assuming sanity will rule this year and we will be done within an hour max.
I will be submitting a draft outline to the league to do, due to the fact that I can’t see me having access to the computer at my bothers place for a long period of time.
Plus who knows what mood I’ll be in at that time, that so-called offensive line for my Dolphins will have me worked up in a pretty p*ssed up mood. God I hate the Jets, PLEASE for the love of Sinéad if there’s to be a win this season let it be this Sunday. :boh:
I will be in Montreal this weekend and I don't think I'll be back in time for the draft. I'll review the exposed players to see if there is anyone I want and if so I'll mail my instructons to the league.
sabres just learned that they may not be able to attend. nevertheless we have no interest in any players and have already said goodbye to our available guys if necessary

Well considering that it is NOT 8:30 NST but actually 7:30 NST I missed the draft.
I would like to appologize to Martin, the San Jose GM for missing his pick. He counted on me to select for him and I didn't show up. [/b][/quote]
No worries the Ducks benefited from the small mistake . Again not a big deal and let's not make a huge issue of this. Traffic from the Rockyview sucks :mad2:
