How in the name of all that is holy does Scott Ferguson have a one way conract?!?!

What GM negotiated that contract? Stand up and take your beats!

Come to think of it - many a crappy player have one-way contracts. Krys Kolanos comes to mind.

One way contracts can get waived...problem is the entire CPHL contract is part of the AHL salary cap. This is why QC is now over cap in the AHL.

I prefer to trade for players with silly contracts who I then can't use because of their salaries.

2nd rounder for Ron Petrovicky and his HUGE salary comes to mind.

one way contracts are a good way to convince the agent to lower the amount of the contract on a fringe player. You just need to be careful that you won't end up needing to drop him down, as in droopy's case
