Default Fire Gulutzan/Give him Coach of the year All Purpose Thread

Based on the Flames Performance through the first 6 games, I have no confidence whatsoever in the coaching staff.

Our Powerplay is terrible and our Defensive zone coverage is a joke.
It starts with the head coach and making players accountable. Unfortunately I don't believe our "Players Coach" has instilled fear in the players. If you play bad, you will sit.

The likelihood of the coaches getting fired this year is very small, considering they just got hired, but I believe Treliving will get axed this year if the Flames continue to struggle. With a new GM, a new coach hopefully will follow.

The Flames have underperforming high priced contracts that will be difficult to move. Making changes to your core will be very difficult as a result. In order to salvage the season, the only thing that really can be done is finding a replacement coach.

Could legitimately see Dave Cameron getting the boot in the next few games.

I don't see Gulutzan going anywhere this year however.

I think it's extremely likely Gulutzan doesn't last the year. They aren't just losing. They don't just look bad. EVERYTHING looks terrible

At least that's a start! Watching our power play give me a headache

The beer guy that looks like Santa Claus in the PL sections would be an upgrade.

Bottom line, someone is going to be held accountable and they might fire the power play coach, which they should just to show they're making moves.

I propose that we start an opposing club to HC Bern.

We can do this!

I never thought that Sigalet and Gelinas should have been brought back in the first place. And it wouldn't surprise me if Cameron gets the Axe soon

Not only should Gulutzan not last the year, he shouldn't even last the month.

The team is looking disorganized from top to bottom. Just brutal hockey to watch.

Time for BT to admit that the "process" was horribly flawed in this case and snip the coaching problem in the bud.

As a starter, if Cameron is in charge of the PP, he should never set foot behind the bench again. I like the idea of moving Gelinas back in there.

Last year he failed to address the obvious goalie problem.

Will he let this year's obvious coaching problem scuttle the season again?

Do the players have confidence in the system Gully wants them to play?

I've always wanted him from the start. It would be great to have him, but I highly doubt he would want to leave his current job of Chairman of Southampton FC

The Flames players are saying alot with their body language.
TJ Brodie doesnt look like he wants to be here. Giordano seems off. Gaudreau looks frustrated. Monahan looks un-inspired.

Sigalet is particular has not been impressive since he was hired at the NHL level

Of course this is based off of almost nothing. Just our poor goalie performances.

I like David Marcoux.
I've been a shooter at his Goalie School a few times (before he signed with Carolina) and he is very technical.

Using a name like 'Gully' kinda insinuates he's endeared by fans. As much as I loathe adding the 'y' sound to the end of a players or coaches name as a nick name as it's so lame and unoriginal, it's typically reserved for those that are somewhat liked or respected.

Eakins 2.0 is perfect.

Let's make it Ev2.0 to shorten it up. Its perfectly disparaging and disrespectful. I'm patiently waiting for some 6 year old to tell him he sucks too. Because the 6 year old would have a more informed opinion than the donkeys that hired Ev2.0.
