Default RAFFLE - Autographed Johnny Gaudreau Jersey

Red Flames Jersey - Signed on the numbers.
Draw Date: March 20, 2016
Only 500 tickets to be sold*
Cost - $5.00 per ticket

*While 500 tickets are printed we typically sell around 250-300, and while I'd like us to sell out, and I'm hoping this statement helps, there are better odds of winning when we don't*

Proceeds go towards supporting the Calgary Blind Hockey Association. The Calgary Blind Hockey Association provides an opportunity for the blind and visually impaired to experience hockey first hand. The jersey was generously donated from the Flames Alumni who have been amazing supporters of blind hockey for many years.

Please send me a PM if interested.

In 2011 we had some great support from CP, and the winner was actually Delgar from CalgaryPuck.

In 2012 I also sold the winning ticket following great support from CalgaryPuck to GreatWhiteEbola.

In 2014 we had the highest CP support yet and JonDuke another winner from Calgarypuck won.

We also had another CP member come out and write a story on us for the Calgary Herald in 2011.

If you know someone who is visually impaired that would be interested in trying hockey please let me know as we are always looking for interest from the visually impaired community. This year has been fairly exciting as we've had a number of new visually impaired players come out. There is a program called Courage Canada, which is trying to get blind youth out and interested in hockey, and they've worked closely with blind hockey teams in most major Canadian cities, which has really helped increase awareness and interest in the blind community.

If you would be interested in volunteering, or have a team that would like to play us, please contact me and we can discuss what the team is about and how you could contribute to this rewarding experience.

If you're interested here are the links to our auctions from the past few years.

I will meet with you, or scan and e-mail a copy of your ticket to you directly. I have in the past accepted cash, paypal, or e-mail money transfers.

If you are not from the Calgary area, please let me know in advance. I would like to have a discussion up-front to make sure we can arrange something that works prior to collecting your money. In this situation I don't want to ask the team to pay as this is our primary source of funding, so I've been committed to covering the cost to ship personally but if you are located internationally that does increase the complexity/cost.

Thanks Jacks! PM sent.

If anyone has any general questions on blind hockey or the raffle please feel free to ask here as well. My initial post is fairly general and repeats info posted in prior years, but I know people tend to have questions on how the guys play.

I didn't mention this in the first post, but I am offering the same incentive for ticket sales as I did last year. For the first 100 tickets sold if you purchase 4 or more tickets I will purchase one additional ticket on your behalf.

Thanks!

Thanks GreatWhiteEbola! My contact info is the same. I will still have your contact info saved in PM's, but if is has changed just fire me an update so I can fill out the tickets.

I'm okay for either PayPal or email transfer so whichever is easiest for you I can work with it.

I spent $40 on tickets and won the signed Monahan jersey last year.
Was super excited and even bought a jersey frame for it.
Thought it was the best money I ever spent. Then, the downhill spiral...

My wife wouldn't let me put the frame in the living room, kitchen, or upstairs in any bedroom. The basement was bare bones. Framed and insulated. So I decided make a man cave/kids room, knowing she couldn't say no to me hanging it down there. First though, I had to drywall, tape, mud, sand, paint, carpet, and put in baseboard and window trim. It's taken almost a full year, and is still a work in progress, but the frame was on the wall as soon as soon as the paint dried.

tl;dr: The kids now have a basement play room because I won this jersey last year and I'm super stoked about it especially since it's the first thing ya see when you walk downstairs

Thanks Kaon for sharing these with us and good luck to all who enter!!

Awesome jersey box JonDuke! I edited the first post to include your name as I got a bit lazier and recycled most of last years raffle post. Hopefully not everyone has to put in a years worth of work if they win, but at least your have your man cave/kids room.

52 tickets sold so far to CP!

Haha! I have a feeling this would be the case with me if I framed a jersey. Fix up, and hide it in the basement.

Just a quick update on the ticket promotion. Including the folks who purchased tickets this morning CP has purchased 91 tickets to date.

There is still time to get in under the initial offer where I will purchase one additional ticket for each person who purchases 4 or more tickets. One anonymous CP user has graciously donated a little extra to the cause and has agreed to have it extend the ticket offering past 100 tickets to include the next 5 users who purchase 4 or more tickets.

Thanks CP!

Evening update! CP has combined to purchase 112 tickets.

There are still a few more ticket incentives available thanks to our anonymous CP donator.
