Well that sucked. Nearly identical to last season's opener in that it was a complete a$$ kicking. I wish this team could open all it's season against Eastern Conference opposition as it sucks handing over the early points to divisional opponents.
Not overly surprised about the outcome as the team is on a run of losing their opening game and combine that with a mostly starting roster putting in a poor effort against the Jets to end the preseason and the team simply isn't up to speed yet. Hard to blame a Jack Adams winner but it would be nice to have a team prepared to play their opener one of these years.
Excuses of being rusty aside I was disappointed that they are still playing the same style of game where they are letting their opponents take the game to them as while possession stats are overrated this team really does have to play a better possession game.

Ouch. Embarrassing. Had a great start (Ferland!) and some really dominant shifts in the first. Then they stopped hitting, stopped skating, and looked uninterested. Canucks looked smart and motivated, Flames liked sloppy and lazy.
Ramo faced way too many shots but was clearly outplayed by Miller. I would guess we've seen the last of Ramo for a while.
I hate losing to the Cancks.

Surprised to see the Flames actually ended up with 30 shots. Not a lot of good chances.

Listening to that Vancouver tandem for play by play, it makes me realize that we are spoiled by having Ball and Hrudey.

I'm just going to find some positives out of this game...
The only goal against that Kulak was on the ice for was that soft short-side from the wing. He was a 63% SAT at even-strength too. Not a bad debut for the rookie.
