Default Local woman allows dog to defecate on grave

A friend and photo enthusiast captured this photo today.

An off-leash dog crapping on someone's grave in St. Mary's cemetery. After being notified that dogs are not allowed, this woman admitted to knowing that dogs aren't allowed (apparently the rules don't apply to her). I hope a dog craps on her grave. What a disrespectful woman.

Walk dog, take bag.
Dog craps, use bag.
This is easy.

As bad as the topic of the thread is (pretty bad) I also think it's kinda weak to take the womans picture and post it on a forum for public shaming.

Yeah, this heinous offense is definitely worth taking a photo of her and posting it on the internet. God damn, guys.

I move that we remove the photo of the person. This is absurd.

I understand that there's still a very big stigma about death and gravesites, but for me it all seems a little backwards and I can't wait until people care less about what happens to their useless husks after they die. We're running out of place for living breathing people, and yet we still use large patches of land for dead ones.

Just burn me up, or chuck me into the forest for food and fertilizer when I die, I don't mind. You want to honor me? Raise a glass to me with friends when the mood strikes, don't come to where my corpse is and get all weepy.

Better yet, you wanna honor people? Treat them better when they are alive!

Dog off leash. Check.
Dog in a no dog area. Check.
Dog crapping on someones grave. Check.

It's probably not the first time she's taken her dog there.
She knew that she isn't allowed to bring her dog in a cemetery.

I bet the loved ones of the deceased would be pretty damn upset.

She looks guilty as frack.

(Also, the photo was already making the rounds on FB)

St. Mary's Cemetery history dates back to 1876 when it was established as one of the city's first Catholic cemeteries, and today many important founders and pioneers of Calgary are buried there. The Calgary Heritage Authority has deemed the cemetery to be a historically significant cultural landscape that played an important part in the settlement and establishment of Calgary as a city.

Bet that wasn't the reaction you were expecting eh?

I agree she's in the wrong, but I don't know how big of a deal it is. As I mentioned, I understand there is still a big stigma about this due to tradition and a lot of religious nonsense, (and frankly, a lot of unjustified ego) and that's the world we live in, so I'm always respectful in areas like this or situations like this. But ultimately we really need to look at the way we deal with our dead. A long time ago there was a real reason to bury our dead. No real safe way to get rid of them, aside from burning I guess. But not so much anymore. I'm not saying grind em up into Soylent Green but there are better ways. No reason dead people need real estate and the fact that everyone who can afford it gets their own private memorial (aka tombstone and plot) that is untouchable and sacred is pure ego.

Unless sex in a graveyard is disrespectful. But that's kinda like a circle of life thing right? Almost a way of worship and memory!

that's unbelievable, really. I am totally behind her public shaming.

Did she clean it up?

actually now that I think about it maybe she was taking the dog to see a recently deceased person or something, but if not,,, f'her.
