This is a classic already.

Chinese #1 (Zhang) wins set 1, 18-16 (it only goes up to 11) over Chinese #2 (Wang).

Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic through to the SF on the mens side, Victoria Azarenka, Serena Williams and Ovechkin's girlfriend through for the women. Pulling for Kim Clijsters to win it all in the womens draw, would be a great end to a great career.

What started as a classic turning into a whitewash. Chinese #1 now up 3 set to 0. Will take miracle now....

Canada's women's double team (14th seed) play in the semi-finals today. Very unlikely they win today against the 4th seed Japanese.

^Considering they thought they were out of the tournament 36 hours ago, I think they'll be playing with house money and could surprise. Unlikely, but probably about as unlikely as them even being here in the first place.

I hope they win but their only real chance to win would be because of an injury to one of the Japanese players. The talent gap between the top players from the Asian countries and NA players is quite large. Canada is ranked 14th in this tournament but if all the countries would be allowed an unlimited number of entries in this tournament they would be ranked lower than 40th. Canada winning this match would be like Japan beating Canada in Olympic hockey.

I don't know what surface the badminton is played on (is it hardwood or is it a composite?), but we could pull of the "Miracle on (whatever the surface is)".

I agree. Japan and China will win their semis easily.
Canada's chance will be playing the Russians for the bronze, the Russians being another team that was re-instated.

Don't discount Canada's secret weapon. A talented stray dog named Bud.

Every time I happen upon the boxing feed, I can't go 20 seconds without hearing Russ Amber say "travesty". It's kind of hilarious how much he hates what he's commentating on.

Pretty awesome final four in the Men's Tennis tournament. Djokovic plays Murray and Federer plays del Potro. I actually think del Potro is going to win it, just a hunch.

Boxing is a pretty corrupt sport though. Both amateur and professional.

I'm shocked that it's still in the olympics.
