For the most part the fans don't seem too bothered, but Jacobs is a big Democrat supporter so everyone assumes Thomas is done in Boston.
I know he probably said some things that got people riled up and some people didn't like his White House snub, but if the owner indeed wants him gone because of his political views then IMO that is downright pathetic.

I can easily imagine himself moving his family into a bunker into the woods, stocked with cans of beans, guns, and becoming a tea party survivalist until the Obama administration is over.
I think he was getting at that Boston could be a destination for Kiprusoff, but there's no way that's going to happen with Rask there, unless Jay Feaster murders Rask.

I think what he's saying is if Thomas doesn't play next season, it's takes one talented veteran goalie out of the trade market.
If the Flames look to trade Kipper his value should increase as a result.

There is obviously the potential for LTIR due to mental illness.
I was thinking the same thing, but then usually things like mental illness, depression, and personal problems are kept on the down low. In more likelihood, Thomas will simply be given a personal leave of absence if Thomas isn't ready to play because there is some stuff in his life he needs to deal with. Suspension is an option but it might cause a big distraction and might not sit well with the PA. It really depends on how Thomas goes about things first and foremost (i.e. whether Thomas just doesn't show up or is upfront with the Bruins organization and work out a solution).
Too much excess of personality and flakiness, even for a goalie. I feel sad for the organization that wants him to play for them again after a season off at 39.
Hopefully he takes the year to confirm that Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone. The moon landing was a hoax. The twin towers were brought down by explosives, not jet fuel. Peak Oil. And Marilyn Monroe was something, something....
Way to go crazy Tim.

Maybe it'll be the same team that has Hasek at 47 this upcoming season.

Definitely. I think it's ridiculous that I know anything about the politics of anyone in sports, for that matter, let alone having it affect rosters. Promoting charities and causes is one thing, but I can't imagine why anyone would care about which ideology or party an athlete/celebrity supports.
