I have to say that part of this BS isn't funny at all... how many players have suffered lacerations this year from skates? Turning a dive into a situation where your skate blades are flailing around like that is just irresponsible.

I dont think enough is being made of Mike Richards' solid performance last night. He was exceptional.
Also, him and Carter closed down the Shark Club after the game.

Would you say that Los Angeles Forward depth and forecheck were a problem for Vancouver?
Depth wasn't the issue at all in my mind. It was the Kings' top line that really came to play. The Kings' 3rd and 4th lines generated very little in relation to what they gave up while Brown and Kopitar absolutely crushed the Canucks' 3rd line in head to head ice time. Whatever the Canucks were doing to counter that line wasn't working.
Outside of that one Kings line the Canucks got the better of the Kings at ES (shots directed at the net were 31-19 at ES when the other 3 lines were on). The Kings' bottom 3 lines generated very little offensively, as I believe all 3 lines combined for only 5 scoring chances all game at ES. That said, the Canucks were kind of the same story with their top line generating most of the chances. They're going to need Kesler to step up if they hope to win this series.
It's also hard to get a read in a game where nearly half the game was spent with either the Canucks or Kings on a PP. Both teams have been very good at ES over the past couple of months while the Kings PP has been much better than the joke that has been the Canucks' PP. Keeping it at ES should be the Canucks main priority if they want to win.

Do you have any territorial stats for each team's bottom six?
At this point it is more like "really guys? Really? You're still sticking with the green me are you? Ok then..."
It is beyond annoyance. It is wondering what kind of sad, pathetic people wear the same halloween costume for 5 years, even when it isn't halloween.
I mean, come on.. the guys are the same shade of green that they use on TV for super-imposing images onto, like the weather maps. CBC or any television network could easily edit them out, or put advertising on them.

Why is it a joke ? He deserved a couple games and that's what he got.
The joke is that Weber wasn't suspended.
Bitz should have stopped short on the hit, punched Clifford in the back of the head and then grabbed his melon and rammed it into the glass. Bitz has no history of dirty play so he got what he deserved.
Live by the sword die by the sword for Kyle Clifford. He tried to cripple Chris Tanev on a much worse hit last season. I hate filthy hits and would like to see them out of the game, but for guys who continue to walk the line I have little sympathy when they get crunched.
