After watching some WJC games, the Granlund brothers have looked very strong together. It's a gamble, but if the Flames could acquire Mikael Granlund and unite the brothers we might have something special. He was the 9th overall pick in 2010, considered Minnesota's top prospect and some consider him to be one of the best players not playing in the NHL. Minnesota is in a playoff spot and may be looking to make a run.
What would it take to acquire Mikael Granlund from the Minnesota Wild?
Isn't the guy considered the best player not in the NHL right now? That'd be a very tall order. And considering its within our division, it makes it even tougher. Honestly I don't think it could happen.

Then out of curiousity what do you think Markus Granlund would be worth?
No clue - it depends on how his progress is viewed since the draft. We drafted him 45th overall... so if he is considered to have progressed well, maybe Minnesota's 1st? Again, no clue if that's realistic.
After all the "sister" taunts we have laid-down on Canuck Nation?

A lot and i mean a loooooot. Bartschi would have to be included in the deal for sure, just say no Feaster. If anything i wouldn't be shocked if Minnesota tried to acquire Markus from us.
