Buffalo defenceman Corey Sarich has agreed to a contract extension with the Sabres organization, which will see the young blueliner receive $5.6 million over 3 years.
Sarich's salary for the 2004-2005 season was $1.3 million. The second-line defencemen, who has had a shaky year this season with the Sabres, will recieve a $500,000 raise to $1.8 million for the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons, finishing his contract with a base salary of $2.0 million for the 2007-2008 season.
