We wanted to clear out an AHLer for an ECHLer and we liked Gilbert enough to do this deal. Thanks for the quick response.
When I took over this team, I knew it was a challenge and still is. We want to retool our organisation and with multiple small moves we have started on the long way back.
At the announcement of the deal we acquired two 2nd round picks, a third round pick, Sheldon Brookbank and David Gilbert.
We traded away Fedotenko, Khudobin, Greiss and Della Rovere.
