With the 1st pick in the 2015 CP Mock NHL Draft, the Edmonton Oilers are so proud to select C-Connor McDavid from the Erie Otters of the OHL.

An absolute no brainer here. This guy is a generational talent and is considered the best prospect to enter the league in over a decade. While he doesn't fix the defensive problems for the Oilers, he changes the landscape of the team going forward (which has started already with Chiarelli being the GM and McLellan going to be named coach very soon). This also gives the Oilers a McDavid-RNH top 2 center ice combo which is huge (and Draisaitl who was just named WHL playoff MVP is on the rise).

Wow mock Dallas must really want Hanifin, that is lopsided. Was there a mistake in the paper work and you meant Jordie Benn? Hanafin would have to become better than Doughty for that to come close to being even. What if he only became as good as Klingberg already is? That would be a disaster.

Anyhow, the first three picks were obvious so I'm looking forward to the more unexpected portion of the draft. Maybe Strome to go next?

Well, if that trade does hold up, the Leafs are giddy to add Dylan Strome to the mix.

Dylan Strome. Poor kid.

Although I appreciate the enthusiasm, I'm going to void the trade. I guess I forgot to include no trading in the original post. Also, Flamesfanforever will oversee the Devils.

Well alright. If the trade is voided, then the Arizona Coyotes are proud to select, from the Erie Otters, Dylan Strome

The Devils like Provorov, but we need a franchise forward.

The Devils select Mathew Barzal.

The San Jose GM has not logged on since the 15th. Since it is the long weekend in Canada, I give him until 5:00 Calgary time Monday to make his pick.
