I wouldn't pay much for ROR without having an extension in place and that can't be done until the off season.

Any chance we can pick up Mike Green for Curtis Glencross+Deryk Engellend?

It would be great to see Greener here. Don't be surprised if he signs in the off-season.

I heard the opposite and he doesn't have any desire to play here

That was his dad that indicated that, correct?

Probably because Vespa's don't do well in Calgary.

He is a UFA and probably not going to sign.. If the Caps pick up a guy like Yandle, maybe he becomes expendable and this deal looks good for them. Relax

Wait, you actually think that deal makes sense for the Caps?

If you read my post, if they pick up a different d-man, they might not mind Glencross' cheap salary (maybe not include Engellend).

Why do you think that wouldn't make sense?

Because your trade means quantity > quality. Washington loses big time.

They will potentially be losing Green in a few months anyway. Glencross is the same way (in my last post, I said to maybe take out Engellend)..

If you have a surplus of D-Man (which is another assumption I made) and need a top 6 forward… Why would they not make that deal? Neither player has any term on their contract.

You still haven't given much of a reason for why it wouldn't work for them if Washington picks up a top 4 d-man. Quantity over Quality is not much of a basis for an argument.

Green is much more valuable than Glencross. I don't know what else there is to say. Adding in Engelland doesn't even help. You might as well start having the mentality of having Engelland for another 2 years after this one, because no team wants his contract.

Probably because they are looking to go on a run and adding glencross while losing Green likely makes them a worse team.

Not necessarily. Green is on their 3rd pairing. Glencross could play with Ovi and Backstrom.

They can get Glencross for a lot cheaper then giving up Green.

@AGrossRecord: Tonight's ARIZ-NYR scouting list: Pens (2), Flames (2), Preds, Blue Jackets, Blackhawks (2), Red Wings, Stars (2), Caps, Sens, Avs.

Flames continue to scout Coyotes
