Just a comment on the finalists. The shield logos don't work well in a rectangular space. Many of their design elements also get lost when shrunk down to the perspective from which they will be used/viewed.

Is B the one that looks like the designer traced his butt-plug?
I don't know what a butt plug looks like. I guess I'll just have to re-draw inspiration from the anus-shaped design that you barfed out.

Your designs would make Microsoft clip art laugh. I'm pretty sure you paid some drunken frat boy a bag of peanuts to design that monstrosity on a napkin during amateur hour at the Roadhouse!

All excellent designs, but the bottom 2 look like they belong on Jerseys, and the top 2 look like they belong on a website. It is a very tough call between B and E, but I went with E. If I knew for sure B would be the yellow and red variant, I would have picked B.

E I actually like the flat image more than the 3 dimension version.
G This one makes a lot of sense as because CP is in the middle.
K is out because CP seems to be more than Calgary.
I'm going to vote for E. G is close behind, but I think E can be utilized more and can be a more recognized logo through the internet.
B is certainly the cleanest, most modern and most professional.
I like the idea behind E but the random swirls turn me off a bit.
I think both G and K are far to busy to be scaled down. Forums also typically have a horizontal title bar at the top of the page and a round shape doesn't scale well to this kind of space.

Yup. I think people might be thinking of G and K as on the front of a jersey, not in the banner of a website. Just too busy when its scaled down. It will look pixelated.

Option E. Simple, creative and effective. Think the golden gates. This is the kind of logo we're looking for. Gets the point across quick.
It also isn't a giant awkward looking race track loop or circles with text/silhouettes in them. But to the artist of B, I would have definitely been down with your A option if it made it through, you won me over with those mock ups.

I like E because along with the simple, clean design, it's flexible in working both as a square and rectangular logo. The 'cp' logo with 'calgarypuck.com' beside it will fill up the dead space at the top of pages.
