Default Going to a game at Pepsi Center in Denver - advices

Will be in Colorado in March and finally have a chance to see Flames game live for the first time ever () when they will be visiting Colorado Avalanche on 14th March.

Would be great if anybody can comment about "basics"
- How is Denver's public transportation system? Any good means of getting to Pepsi Center by bus/train? Have not yet picked up a place to stay so can adjust to make good connection with public transport.
- Or is it better to go to Pepsi Center by car (probably will have rented car for that day anyway as have to get to Denver from Colorado Springs)? What about parking in that case?
- Which seats at Pepsi Center would be best option in ~ $70-100 price range?
- Any other helpful advice is more than welcomed

I've been to Denver for a Flames game and it is a great place to visit and catch a hockey game. I would recommend against driving to the Pepsi Center because traffic in and out of the stadium is terrible. Find a hotel downtown. There is free transit that runs along 16th Street between Union Station and Broadway and will easily get you to the Pepsi Center.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt and caught the 16th Street shuttle to and from the rink.

Parking at the arena is like $15, driving is easy, it's maybe a half a mile from the highway exit to the parking lot. For public transit there's a light rail that runs along the highway that will drop you off at the front door of the Pepsi Centre if you don't stay right down town. It runs up from the south side of the suburbs clear to Pepsi centre, it would be about a 30 minute drive for you from the springs to where you could get on.

As far as seats go it's hard to find a bad seat there, the way it's built you're right on top of the rink even if you're in the nosebleeds. I try to stay away from the corners but that's just personal preference.

I live here, feel free to PM if you have other questions.

You can walk around central Denver easily. If you stay downtown or West across the river, it is an easy walk to the arena.

There is a free bus that goes up and down the main boulevard downtown (16th St). It can take you right up to the State Capitol.

Skyride shuttle from airport to downtown only $11.

Lots of nice pubs across the river in LoHi. Great Mexican food everywhere.

Coors Field is beautiful.

Be prepared for the vision of the most enormous jumbotron you have ever seen. It is AWESOME! The Avs fans that sat next to me and my constant Go Flames Go chanting were amazing - friendly and welcoming. But then I did apologise when I first sat next to them and warned them I was LOUD! Have fun.

Advice:

- Dont get wet.
- Dont get exposed to sunlight.

And, whatever you do, no matter how hungry you are, never, ever eat after midnight.

But if you're just looking for weed, you're good to go.
