Sadly, pizza-flavoured perogies are terrible.

My company ordered Michael's yesterday for a function.
Haven't had it in 5 (?) years or so.

Happy to report it is still delicious if you like deep dish style pizzas.

Add Coco Brooks to the list of pizza places that don't know to shut up about politics.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Calgary/com...t_coco_brooks/

Anti-Trudeau signs won't keep me away but I'll probably speak up next time I go. I like getting their pizzas frozen. They beat up pretty well.

It says a lot about who has class and basic level of decency when you see so many “F Trudeau” things plastered about, but nary a “F Poilievre” or “F Smith”.

No I mean POW, 1025 Russet Rd NE, Calgary, AB T2E 5L2 was the location.

It was owned by the same people as WOP

They pulled up stakes and ran to Invermere I believe

What if you split it in half to get two open-face sandwiches?

Coco Brooks is a franchise though so realistically it might only be one location or one franchisee that is setting a low bar as opposed to the actual company.

Yeah, it's annoying the poster on reddit didn't mention which location, otherwise I'd send an email about it. Maybe he thinks it's still just one location, many seem to think that as well.

Harvey’s is my favorite franchise burger, but I think there has been some shrinkflation going on.

Save your money, buy a smoker/good BBQ and you'll make better meat than anything you can buy.

18-25 dollar hamburgers? Yea no, I'll make them myself with anything I want on it for a fraction of that price.
75 dollar steaks? I can buy a good one from BonTon and make it myself for $20.

I'm so over paying these ridiculous prices for food, when the quality and shrinkflation is going down and the price continues to rise.

$18.00 for a Wendy's combo now a days, just unreal.
Its crazy to me that I fast-food places are now almost as expensive as going to a half decent sit down restaurant, its comical to say the least. I'd sooner pay $20 more dollars for "home-cooked" food vs nothing but deep fried garbage.

If I have to eat out some where I usually look for the mom and pop type shops/diners where you can still get a good sandwich/burger for around $10.00

Can't say I've seen that anywhere for a long time. Any decent mom and pop shop is higher than fast food, like usually $18-$20 for a burger and fries, no drink.
