That group is so lame. Yikes.
The leader was really embarrassing too. What the hell?

This. I bet we see a lot of the slendermen fall in battle against the Saviours.

Ugh, first Ezekiel and his stupid tiger, now these junk yard meth addicts. Really lame and disappointing.

Yeah that was not a great episode. That group is too strange -- with their way of speaking and just overall weirdness. It doesn't fit with the rest of the series, it hasn't been that long post-outbreak that people would've gone that off the wall yet. And I'm not sure why Rick was so jazzed up about the deal they made. It's not like they have a pile of guns lying around they can just give to them and start the war.
I did like the Resident Evil boss-monster though.

The group's acting reminded me of this:

Pretty obvious with the exchange between Tara and Rick that the Oceanside is going to come into play.

I like the little mention Rick made at the end of Tara being the one to go out the farthest and that she could tell them where "not" to go to find guns.
Well we know that she knows exactly where TO go to find lots of guns. I suppose that will come out in the next few episodes.

Well, clearly. But why bother with this group at all then? The oceanside group have a similar amount of numbers. It's just too obvious this group was introduced so we just have several dozen nameless faceless people to throw in and get killed during the inevitable big battle with the Saviors.

Oceanside is women and kids.
Team Methhead has men as well.
Also in the timeline of the show rick has no knowledge of Oceanside.

I'm guessing most of the newer lame and outlandish characters and groups are pulled from the comics (Ezekiel, Negan, etc). Even though the Governor was based on material from the comics they fleshed him and his story out into a realistic version for the show. According to some articles I've read the comic book version of the Governor was ridiculous and just flat out stupid.
They have obviously taken a different approach this season. This new group is just ridiculous and stupid. Maybe the writers are getting lazy.
I am encouraged by other plot lines though. Richard (?) trying to sway the Tiger King and Gabriel's development are good. Maggie, Sasha, and Jesus taking charge at Hilltop has been good. The eventual battle with the Saviors should pay off.
I want more Steven Ogg as Simon!

I disliked that episode so much that I just deleted Talking Dead without watching it.

I guess I got right away when they were asked if they were a collective or if they have a leader- that this new group operates as a collective. Look at how much trouble everybody else gets into by people just doing their own thing.

Yeah...when did language and mannerisms deteriorate?
I mean, I guess they do live in a junkyard.
That being said, I loved this episode just for Jerry!
You're the man Jerry!

Lol. If you're going to rip off mad max, why the unwatchable Tina Turner one? The up up up? The kids in Mad Max had raised themselves without adults or schooling, so their weird dialect made sense. This was totally nonsensical.

There's nothing like this in the comics. This was bad television writing.

On top of how bad that episode was, carol and rosita are becoming incredibly annoying/unlikable.
