No, that was my first thought too. I tried it out, but the balls won't stay. The ledges are too small. I am thinking garbage now.

It was with the old owner's drafting tools so I thought it might have some value.

I think thats a Harpsichord. You'll have to stick your head in it to find out for sure.

Did you try the smaller "snooker" balls? I remember the old Yankee Doodles on electric ave had wall racks like this where they had the 12' snooker tables.

I have both pool and snooker balls. If you were to mount it vertically on the wall, there just aren't any grooves to stop them from rolling off.

Did you try putting it on the wall the other way? If the lip was facing away from the wall, assuming you can still get the balls onto the shelves, the lip should theoretically hold the balls in.

Its obviously a German Halderspaat. Older ones go for many thousands of dollars but yours looks like a reproduction due to the modern hardware. Your also missing the Spindle Crank and the Reverse Timing Chain, which will affect the value. Not much of a market here in Calgary for them, especially since the last Halderspaat dealer here got hit by the floods and never re-opened. Still very popular in Edmonton however as its main function is to hang and dry sweatpants and dress shoes.

If not...my vote is for an ikea billiard ball holder as well.

Slow news day.

Someone was finally able to tell what these are. I put them on Kijiji free to pick up if someone could just tell me.

Turns out one is a thing that you screw on below your cupboard to hang wine glasses from. The other thing is a knife block that you bolt on to the wall.
