On the global calgary web report it said that mom and dad amicably shared custody, with dad having primary and daughter going to visit mom in Edmonton on the occasional weekend. When dad worked daughter would sometimes go stay with the grandfather who lived in a nearby town.
Reports from dad's co-workers describe him as a caring father. The report cites a coworker describing the dad as an "exemplary single father"

They've located a white van matching the description.

still inquiring with public and seeking information. Contact Crowsnest Pass RCMP or crimestoppers
keeps repeating that they are looking for assistance from public on the van and anything else they might have seen. Investigative team maintaining intent of wide focus of investigation at this time. Goal is to locate Haley and return her safely. Parallel investigation to homicide investigation.

What an awful, awful story. I feel like the fact that they've arrested a suspect without locating the child is a very bad sign.

Its past a day now, and it sounds like they've arrested a suspect. The likely hood of this child being alive is in my mind pretty slim.
