So if Obamacare is repealed, what happens to health insurance for 20 million Americans?

CBC post election panel has a Liberal strategist in BC tearing Huffington Post a new one. Conversations are about the "truthiness" of news as Stephen Colbert coined the phrase, but this commontator goes on to say that sources like Huffington Post went way too far with the "newsiness" of their content and did a disservice. I don't know her name, but she makes some really good, balanced points.

She said that these groups really did a disservice by taking the Clinton wikileaks content and portraying it way out of context, and then taking rumours like the Trump rape story and presenting it as fact.

I don't know but someone on CBC radio when I was driving suggested that you'll see Obamacare dismantled but a massive restructuring of medicaid. Not sure that will help but it was suggested

They die?

That's about it.

Obamacare was the Republican's only actual policy idea about health care in the last 40 years. (was Romney care remember)

It will be interesting to see how the party that has no ideas does with all three parts of the government. I'm thinking that the Dems may take the house in 2 years.

I think this result shows that the numbers of rank and file Americans who were totally fed up with the status quo. As someone put it tonight, it was a referendum on their instutitions in Washington and it was overwhelming that they are broken.

Voters were willing to overturn the apple cart and support a candidate with substantial baggage do so rather than continue with the current system.

Hopefully American democracy gets itself sorted out quickly. It's going to be painful for a lot of the political elites, but it's going to happen.

I'm still in shock. Clinton was clearly more experienced, more intelligent, and way more qualified for the job...she had Barack, Michelle, Beyonce, Bernie, Elizabeth Warren, and Bruce freakin' Springsteen all stumping for her, and she still lost to Trump. I can't imagine how humiliating this must be for her campaign. Unreal.

Everyone involved with this are no longer going to be employable, so there's that.

Considering Trump is a Democrat, I don't think there's a ton to worry about for leftists. It's a decision that won't be made lightly, and thankfully it won't go to whomever George Soros picks, or whatever other lizard donates the most to the Clinton Foundation.

Trump thinks climate change is a hoax. It's not. He doesn't care, because he's an idiot. If the planet decides it's done with us, it's not going to matter that Roe v Wade was overturned. You can't have an abortion underwater.

But I guess Keystone will be approved. Someone count pieces of silver while I hang myself.

Chris Arnade has extensively documented the rural poor of America, both white and minority. One of the problem with free trade is that pretty much every country has neglected the part of helping the losers from free trade. The first party that figures out a credible policy might win this groups loyalty for a generation.

Maybe if we're really lucky, the fat old man who has led a life of excess while eating KFC for dinner will suffer a massive heart attack and die.

Also: #### Hillary Clinton. What a hubristic disaster of a campaign. She tried to sit on a lead for months. She played prevent defense, never addressed her shortcomings and assumed she had it won.

#### Joe Biden for not running. #### the DNC for forcing this ####ty candidate down the world's throat. Did nobody else have a desire to be President? Of course they did. But now we're staring down four years of Herr Trump because it was Hillary's turn.

Hey Democrats. Maybe next time your polling suggests 'nobody likes our candidate', you don't just nominate them anyway because you wanted to follow up the first black president with the first woman president. Congratulations, everything Obama worked for is going to be undone. There may be precious little to indicate the first black president was ever in office. #### you all.

I feel terrible for the Obamas.

Next time they rig the party a candidate make sure it's one with a chance of winning?

Yep, for all the talk of Trump killing the republican party, it's the Dems that have been killed by not going with the populist and picking a bad candidate in Hillary.

You gotta think the Clintons are done in politics.

It's about damn time. The evil they spread out in the world is horrific.

To be fair, the notion of the $5 trillion hole Trump plans to dig stateside is also potentially horrific.

Reports are that Clinton camp did not actually have a concession speech prepared because 'it was a sure thing.' They moved the concession to the morning so they would have time to write one.

Hillary wanted to win so badly she bet the entire country on it.

Bernie was the best shot Americans had but her greed was greater than her interest in the American people and he polled way higher than Trump in all the States that Clinton needed to win but lost. Bernie polled higher with independents that all but didn't show up for Clinton. The DNC, Clinton and their corruption of primary process is to blame for this. They used superdelegates to ignore half their base, the enthusiastic half, that would likely have captured the independent "change" vote as well. Instead those mostly went to Trump
