A perfect example of the little things that make for an immersive experience. Sometimes, regardless of some players' gripes, changes and inclusions do not have to be grand or groundbreaking. Start by getting the little things right and go from there.

Of course, getting something as crucial as player progression and functional drafting wouldn't be a bad start either...

I'm not entirely sure where the original information came from, but the cumulative goal total question was asked by someone on the EA forums, and answered by one of the Devs that it will in fact be back in NHL 17. Apparently some hiccups with the NBC broadcast package delayed this. Blah blah blah.

i believe the beta for nhl17 releases tomorrow... any word on what the game modes/format of the beta will be?

Last year was for eashl drop ins only, which was extremely frustrating if you just wanted to turn it on and try things out, as finding a game damn near impossible (i'm not an eashl player at all). I am hoping for a different format this year.

The beta is good. That was my first time playing lag-free EASHL in years.

I can't tell if the lag-free-gaming was due to NHL 17 or the fact I bumped my Shaw up to ludicrous speed. Regardless, I'm not sure i've played an online hockey game in my life where it had an offline level of smoothness.

That being said EASHL isn't really my thing and I'm hoping we get some HUT content to play around with at some point.
