Ferland had 2 assists tonight.
Elson didn't play for some reason.
Baertschi had 1 goal tonight.

Bärtschi had a fantastic 4-goal-night in the Winterhawks' 7-3 win against Seattle - two shorthanders, one even-strength goal and one PP goal. +4 on the night and back to two points per game (31+61=92 in 46 games).
Wotherspoon was scoreless in the same game, but received a 10 min penalty near the end for "deliberate injury" ...
And Ferland just scored the first goal of a game against Regina.

Portland's team is just too stacked offensively for the other teams right now. How many games this year have they scored 7 goals or more? It would be great if they carried that momentum into the playoffs. I want Bartschi and Wotherspoon to bring in as much of a winning attitude as they can to the flames organization.

Boston College locked up first place and the #1 seed for their playoffs with a win today. Gaudreau got an nice assist and Arnold got an empty netter.
Gaudreau is reminding me of Tanguay with his play making.

Pretty interesting, the Wheat Kings had a 4-0 lead in the 3rd against the Pats and ended up losing 6-4. Ferland had a goal and an assist in the loss, however.

On the game-winner in a huge game. If Kootenay lost, they would've been 7 points back of the Hitmen for the #4 seed instead of just 3 now.
Clutch.

Just out of curiosity, has Joey Leach been signed to a contract by the Flames?

Not yet. He can't until July 1st now because the Flames are already at their 50 contract cap.

he actually can because the ELC of the junior players don't count towards the 50 contracts. Bärtschi, Ferland and Reinhart are all signed to ELC, but they just kick in next season.

Don't we lose his rights if we don't sign him soon?

Baertschi now has 2 goals tonight, ties it up 3-3!
Sounds like it was a howitzer, the announcers are gushing.

I see Laurent Brossoit is 2nd in the WHL in GAA. I know he plays on a good team, and goalies are harder to judge than players of other positions, but good on him.
(I find it REALLY strange to hope for an Edmonton team but between the Oilers playing playoff contending teams like the Stars and Ducks and Sharks this week and Laurent playing for the Oil Kings...time for a shower.)

Just be prepared.
Even though we managed to put a wack of players into the NHL this year including Irving and Brodie and Horak. And the fact that we have improved our junior prospect pool significantly.
It looks like our prospect ratings future watch edition in the hockey news due out next week have seen us drop from 25th last year to 29th this year. So according to that publication we actually got weaker.

Wow! That'll be an interesting read. Another reason to stop subscribing to that magazine.
