I like it. What happens when Brodie and Colborne return? I suppose waiving Raymond & trading/waiving Hiller would solve that dilemma.

Smid will be back before either Brodie or Colborne. It will be interesting to see how Tree plays musical chairs.

Looking at that roster, there are only 3 players under 6 feet now.

According to Sportak, because Smid is close to returning and a light schedule for the first 3 games; Treliving chose to have only 6 D on opening night roster.

I think Colborne bumps Raymond as the 13th foward, but I don't know if he did enough in camp to jump into the top 12.

Didn't Colborne put on like 30 pounds and get faster? I think he will be playing some solid minutes. Burke and the boys want bigger and faster.

Sorry, you want Granlund to sit in the press box? I'd rather he plays some games in the AHL and waits for the injuries to hit to be honest. Much better for him than twiddling his thumbs in the stands in Calgary.

Yay, hockey season is getting closer!
I don't like seeing Raymond in the lineup though, I would much rather have Granlund. Hopefully Raymond is firmly in the press box and gets sent to Stockton as soon as Colbourne returns.

3rd guy clears IR - one more of the moves above is made
This is all assuming no new injuries

In addition, it will also save cap space. A little bit here and a little bit there will add up.

How Flames roster ranks compared to NHL's other 30 teams: - 8th youngest (27.1) - 20th in height (73.2 inches) - 29th in weight (195.5 lbs)

Frolik and Hamilton looking huge in that context.

Colborne is injured, but when he is back, he could slot in where Ferland is and move Ferland to the 4th line, or just start on that 4th line. It is a good situation to be in with this depth

Good for Kulak. I love seeing kids overcome adversity, being sent to the ECHL, answers his callout, and makes the NHL squad the next season. The same happened with Ferland.
Damn, this Management team is among the best in the league.

I would agree with bumping Ferland down, but my reading is that Bollig had one of the better camps of anyone. And Ferland is knocking on the door of the top 6. So unless Jooris, Bouma, Jones or Backlund take a step back, i'm not sure where Colborne fits in.
