I've met several of my best friends through CP, and even have my career indirectly because of it.

Really amazing how strong this community has been over the years.

My March join date seems off though as I was here throughout for the Iginla 52 goal season that year.

I have enjoyed my experience as this site's resident idiot millennial, and I've met a lot of good people here through our shared passions for this wacky sport. I'm not nearly as old as a lot of you in terms of both account and age, but I've still felt largely welcomed and at home here.

Thanks to D'Arcy and all the mods for the work they do.

I was around for most of that history but I can't recall exactly when I started actively participating, albeit sparingly. Must have been some time in 2000 as I don't think I even had an email address until 1999.

I joined the old Rivals forum in the spring of 2000. Found out about it from Mike Board.

Yeah, I was back on the Rivals boards. My brother, Regulator75, showed it to me in 1998 I believe. I think my name was either Diehardfire, or Diehardflames there.

Thought it was so awesome that there was a place for random Flames fans to commiserate. Hahaha. Sigh.

I lurked for a long time and finally joined in 2004. I've moved a few times but the board has remained a constant throughout my travels. Thanks to all!

And a special shout to "the president" for singularly being the unintentioned funniest poster.

I was there. I was flamesfanont back then. Cheese who was GerryCheevers back then came over to my house in Aylmer and got a tattoo from what is now my ex wife. At least I believe it was him.

I was a moderator over on the Flames official forum back in 2004-2006, but got annoyed by them changing the software and making the mod duties 10X harder. Didn't feel like posting there any more, and heard of CP a few times, but never really bothered to come over here until I got annoyed and stayed because it was vastly more active.

It's an awesome place to share thoughts and ideas.

I lurked for a long time before I joined but I'm glad to say I've been a part of this community for almost 10 years. I can't believe how much I've gained from this collection of people!

Ha funny to see... I was on that old site too. Yeah lots of the same people still. Didnt even know cowperson was gone... Sorry to hear that. I also enjoyed the poster lanny mcdonald as well as a contrarian though I know a lot of the old guard who are more staid always regarded him as a #### disturber.

Bottom line is that its always been great to talk with other people who love the flames a little too much

Congrats CalgaryPuck! I'm one of the many who joined well after merger and I definitely don't post nearly as much as before (probably for the best) but I can safley say since I joined I've come here first for all things hockey.
It's a hell of a community you guys have created.

Similar to me, except I lurked starting in 2003-4 and finally signed up in 2010...

Really enjoyed that 2003-4 year, on ice and on CP. I think it was Kermitology who mentioned it to me way back when, but my memory of the years after 2004-present are...non existent...
