I know we have 2 great young goalies in the system already, but it would be a catastrophe for him to end up with the Coilers.(not that that's the reason you draft anyone)
Considering flames took Parsons and BT said they'll take a goalie every two years, we probably skip taking a goalie this year.

Still predicting a trade down for the Flames. Or the super scary Russian.

Wouldn't surprise me if a team ahead of them is very high on him as well. Could see the Sharks taking him.

#### the eastern time zone, some of us on the west have to work till 5:30. 3rd straight year I can't watch the draft live. Gonna try and hold myself from looking at updates until I get home. Gotta feeling this draft is gonna be very entertaining

I meant Adam Foote's skating relative to today's NHL, not Adam Foote's skating today as a 45-year old. The 30-year old Adam Foote was probably not a good enough skater to play in today's NHL. So his son's skating the hell better be better than his dad's!

Is Klim Kostin good enough to make a push for the NHL?

I've watched Foote play probably 8-10 times the last 2 seasons, he is a very big guy on the ice and I've always thought his skating looked great for his size. I'm not a scout but I always came away impressed after watching him. If he is the Flames pick there is no reason to be mad, I think he is gonna be a really good player.

1st pick may actually go close to six so you might get home in time to catch the Flames

I think so. His shoulder injury pushed his whole year out the door. Healthy I think like a lot of writers out there he's a top 5 pick. But a clear top ten. That Russian factor thing though. Even though the KHL doesn't pay their players it still is a viable avenue for players to leave if they don't get what they want.

He has NHL size and skill (as does Vesalainen) but I don!t know if he has a defensive game. Andersson is also considered by some as close to NHL-ready.

Hoping Treliving trades up to get Tolvanen, especially if he drops out of the top ten.

Kostin has stated he is committed to playing in NA next year which is a positive. I imagine Kootenay will trade his rights before the season starts.

I think he made the comment that he would come over only if he plays in the AHL or NHL.

I don't think he will have to trade up if he wants him. Lots of mocks have him falling to the 16-20 range. If Tolvanen is taken before the flames pick that probably means a very good player will be left for the Flames. No need to move up when there is very little consensus on rankings. 16 is a pretty decent place to be as picks 7-20 are all jumbled up. Unless the flames are qued in on one player and worried he will be tanken , which I don't expect.

Tolvanen is interesting but has lots of weaknesses

I think there's a decent chance he's still available at #17
