Don't be an ignorant white guy.... like those American tourists who act stupid on religious or political issues around the world.
Also, NO manes NO. Don't try to sneak a picture or do anything that's not allowed....
P.S. I know there are many negative connotations here, but we all know what I am trying to say

First you have to check out the DMZ. There are numerous underground tunnels into South Korea. Perhaps an impromptu archaeological dig to search for bones of homo sapien
Next, I recommend a trip to Kwan-li-so. It is sort of like a North Korean Alcatraz, only still active. There are some 15000 "people" there. Outside, you can buy a bag a bread crumbs and feed the malnourished inhabitants like you would pigeons in Central Park
Last, check out Kilju county, a Nuclear test sight. Just make sure you are wearing 2 million sunblock, or you're gonna have a real bad day
Have a great time! Send a post card

It's a basic cost benefit analysis, the consequence of doing anything wrong is 15 years in a hard labour camp that makes a Deep South chain gang look like club med so don't so much as breathe without permission.

Not to spoil your trip or anything, but take a look at the photos & captions in the link attached. This guy seemingly had a cool experience in NK, and he also mentions in some of the captions what he was allowed/not allowed to do and what types of things could get confiscated.

Don't know why you would want to go.
They try and keep up a charade but it's such an obvious unhappy place filled with poor, desolate souls. Beggars asking you for money everywhere you go, others dressing up in stupid costumes and hounding you for a couple coins that you just want to avoid. Travel too far off the one tourist road and you'll feel unsafe in dirty poverty stricken areas. Worst of all you know the place was 'created' by some of the worst individuals and some of your tourist money goes to an obvious corrupt government. I'd stay away.
EDIT: Sorry, thought this was the Vegas thread. Have fun in North Korea!

I can see the appeal. Sure it's a facade for an incredibly corrupt regime and comes with inherent risks, but it's also pretty unique place in the world being it's own terrible historical time capsule (not unlike a place like Cuba during Castro's reign). It may not be fun or safe, but it's a place that surely leaves an impression.

Because those are the two choices? All-Inclusive or North Korea?

Whenever I hear of another foreigner sentenced to prison in N. Korea, I think what the #### you were thinking about to want to go there.
