I despise Bouwmeester. His name make me sick to even hear.
He cost his team the game everytime the Flames got any momentum he stabbed his team mates in the back.
I hate Bouwmeester the same as i do the Canucks.

That memory made me sad, I so wanted him to be wrong, I believed he was wrong. 100%.

Sad to say but I was kind of hoping for a cancelled season so that one of his contract years went *poof*!

You would think Sutter and co. would have spoken to some players to get their opinions on the signing before putting their names on the contract.

Jay Bouwmeester (if that is his real name) kicks puppies and eats babies.

Sad to say, we're stuck with him for the duration of his current contract.
He's not good enough to elevate his play, and not bad enough to be Redden-ed.
I would be okay with letting him walk for nothing once his term here is up. He won't be signing for more than 3.5M anywhere after Calgary.

Seems that I was correct in suggesting that Bouwmeester was a buy out candidate.

I did this when the cap was 70M and nocap free butout.

He is untradeable for a positive value....

A deal may be have been possible in the days before TV.... but in today's world everyone in the NHL knows just how bad Bouwmeester has become.

Some teams would be willing to risk a chance on him at 2M...................... But he would make it so they would miss the playoffs.

I think I might sign him again for 3.5 mill provided he never sees first pairing minutes again. Hes so average he would make a good bottom pairing guy I think.

We should start booing him like Rangers fans do so he'll agree to waive his no trade clause. I'm sort of joking. I really do want him to be traded though.

He seems to me to one guy that could be moved if the Flames agreed to retain some salary.

I am beyond being conviced Bouwmeester isn't the biggest single detriment to the Flames.
He is!
I would love it if Harltey would do what no Flames has yet to do bench hiim even for 1 game just to send a clear message your weak brain dead BS will not be tolerated.

You're right. He just played on multiple teams that went deep into the playoffs thanks in no small part to his valuable contributions.

Hes still better than Smith and Babchuk. The problem is he is still playing to many minutes as usual.

Those are the kind of guys you win Stanley Cups with.

The 6.7 million dollar man is better than the 7th and 8th defenders on a team that hasn't made the post season for three years. It has come to this.

Hartley appeared to cut back his minutes as the game progressed which actually gives me some hope.

Bouw is just such a robot out there. A very soft, good skating poke-checking robot.

Zero emotion.

Bouwmeester is a witch. And what do we do with witches?

Holy crap, Peca was spot on with that analysis and we all crucified him at the time.

Apologies to Mike Peca.

This team will never win with Jay Bouwmeester and Chris Butler on it.

It is beyond obvious.
