Pulcinella is a napoleon style pizza with the doughy soggy centre. Real traditional-style pizza. Some people like it, but it's not for me. Had it a couple months ago and it just didn't do anything for me.
For Napoleon-style I've heard Famoso is better.

Sophie's is really good. Probably the best crust I've ever had. I quite like their meat sauce.
One of my friends swears by Sophie's and Red Carpet.

While I can’t comment on the pizza here, I can say that Niko’s is probably my favorite Italian place in Calgary.

How could all of you forget Sbarro! Or maybe it's not as good in Calgary as it is in New York.

The Sbarros I had in NY was horrible. It was worse than the mall Sbarros in Oklahoma City. I even went back and tried it a 2nd time just to make sure it wasnt a mistake. Still horrid . There were a couple of awesome pizza joints outside of times square but their names elude me now.
My vote in Calgary goes to Atlas Pizza, although I dont live there it is one of my must go places to go for a meal when I visit.. Also on that list is .. Peter's ( although the taste there seems to be going downhill) , Reef&Beef, and I always have to get some Poutine from NY fries. I wonder if Poutine is common in the northern US. I have only seen it in Canada and when I tell my friends about it here , they are like WTF??!?! Kinda like when I talk about white gravy on stuff to people when I am in Calgary.

I've always enjoyed Al's Pizza. He runs a small joint in Ranchlands.
+1 to Varsity Pizza and Subs. In addition to the pizza, their subs are great. I think the special ingredient is the "love" they put into make each sub.

Another vote for Atlas... Madigan Special! Might have to make a trip back to the hood sometime soon. They sponsored my first hockey team as a kid back when it was still the pizza and steak house. Was so glad it didn't get hit by the big fire they had in the strip mall back in the early 90's.
Odessy, Spiro's, Dover, Varsity, Greckos, Karuso's all really good as well.

Sammy's in Cedarbrae. Not only is it good first time of eating, but better when cold for breakfast the next morning and the best pizza I have ever had when it is re-heated the next night. (Yes, I know I could order a smaller one).

By far the best pizza in Calgary is Vogglio's on 14th Street between 15th and 16th Ave SW. There are no words to describe how delicious it is so I will have to make one up... scrumtulesent.

Nick and Willys take and bake pizza in Woodbine was amazing when I lived there. Haven't been back there in a while though.

Going to Sbarros in NY is like going to the Olive Garden in Tuscany.
Next time do yourself a favor and head to Grimaldi's. I'll guarantee you it's the best pizza you've ever had in your life. Unless you've been to Naples that is....
