Default Chicago to deal with Preds or . . . Canucks?
Either Pierre Gauthier, the former Habs GM who is now the Chicago Blackhawks' director of player personnel, is a closet Preds or Canucks (???) fan, or something is potentially in the works between the Hawks and one of these two rival clubs.

He was in Dallas for the Canucks game Thursday. He watched the Vancouver-Nashville snooze-fest on Friday night in Nashville. And he was on a plane today for Detroit, where the Predators play tonight and the Canucks tomorrow.

Tough to see the Hawks dealing within their Division. But, even tougher to see them deal with Vancouver.

Speculate away.

The rumor among many Chicago fans, is a move for Iginla...although I can't see this happening, RW is one position that Chicago has plenty of depth.

One of Bickell, Stalberg or Frolik plus a prospect is always mentioned...Bickell, with an expiring deal, most often.

Again, I wouldn't deal youth for age at this point, unless it brings a badly needed #2 center to Chicago. Bolland needs to get back to the 3rd line, and only Toews or LW Sharp can win draws consistantly.

Odd how Gauthier was so hated and thought of as terrible at his job not long ago and now he works for Chicago and the Habs lead the East.
