I believe in the Pony Power

I think Bouma makes the team and plays 70+ games. He'll be a fan fave too.

UFA forwards are Tanguay, Glencross, Modin and Morrison. Bouma might be able to step up into a full time high energy, hard forechecking role, on the 4th line, assuming we aren't sre-signing a few of the UFAs
Defense we have Staios, Babchuk, Pardy and Carson (Mikkelson is RFA).
I would think that at least two of those players will be re-signed, meaning we have space for 1 guy. Do we have anyone ready in the AHL, to play 7th man?
I think if they bring in Brodie (or Erixson), they'll want to give him more than occasional 7th man duties.

Bouma by default.
What I mean by that is that Bouma could be an upgrade to TK or any other fourth liner for that matter. If Morrison doesn't get re-signed (which I think is likely because of his surgery) then Bouma is likely to be that 4th line center.
Other than Bouma, it's a toss up. I can't see why Patterson or Stone couldn't make it up as well.

with TK and Jackman signed for next year I am not sure anyone will make the team full-time next year. I think we might see no rookies on the team out of camp (up front) but they will be the first injury call-ups and could earn a full-time spot throughout the season. I do think it will be Bouma that gets the chance to stick full-time.

Not sure if you are proposing Stone as an answer to the question or just a guy who could make it to the team but at 26 I think he should be out of the running for next prospect to make it.
I think Bouma makes it because he can easily fill a role on the 4th line and I think they would prefer to keep Neimsz down in the minors in a top 6 role if given the choice between the 2.
I don't see any other guy making the team in the next 2 years from the forward ranks (prospects) so it really appears to likely be about thee 2 guys right now.

Bouma will step into a full time 4th line role at some point next season. I think he will end up become a Nystrom-type player for Calgary (hopefully with a little more offence).

That is if we decide to re-sign Stone.

Why? He played almost 30 games for the Oilers and played quite well. The biggest reason that he spent his season in Abbotsford was for rehabilitation purposes. I would not be surprised in the slightest if Stone came back up next year assuming that his injury is fully recovered

I was saying that he shouldn't be considered a prospect at his age/experience. The original question was which forward prospect would become a full time NHLer.
As for Stone making the team I would think that he would be behind Bouma at this point.

The next forward to make the NHL full time will be Bouma. The next forward to make the top 6 routinely hasn't been drafted yet, and from the looks of this year's draft, won't be from this year either unless we fluke out.

Ok, misunderstood. I agree that Bouma is ahead of Stone at this point unless Stone turns in a very impressive camp in the upcoming year.

Bouma, unless for some reason Nemisz is so impressive he gets a top 9 role.

I think Nemisz would benefit from another full year with the Heat. Playfair is a great coach when it comes to teaching 2 way ability and if he is still around next year I think it will do alot for him.

I'm not sure Playfair will be here next year.

I thought Nimesz looked a little rough around the edges in his callup, and could probably go back to the AHL and try and push for better stats. Bouma played very well in his callup, I'd pencil him in (with an eraser on the end of the pencil, of coarse).

I think you can count on it being Bouma. Perhaps Nemisz if he has a great camp and steals Bouma's spot. Anyone else and it would be a major surprise.

I think his contract is up and he's been stating that he really wants to be in the big leagues again.
