NHL's Colin Campbell (1 of 2): "We are holding Mr. Hartley responsible for the actions of Flames' right wing Kevin Westgarth, who took ..."

NHL's Campbell, cont. "... the game's opening face-off and attempted to instigate a premeditated fight with an unwilling opponent."
EDIT: "unwilling opponent" my a$$. The other irony: Lain probably would have been happy to fight Westgrath. If he did and a line brawl still ensued, then no fine? Logic does not seem to be one of the NHL's strong suits on this one. They just seem to want it to seem more "fair". Hartley is absolutely being fined for starting the 4th line. Don't anyone kid themselves.

Stupid Bieksa. Defenseman takes the draw, folds and then finds another partner who he thinks he can take.
Such BS.

I like the part where the organization continues to announce the fact they back the actions of someone, despite the fact it was in clear violation of the rules.
6 gamesw/o pay seems justified, but why no fine too (particularly when Hartley gets fined)?
I assume that means no practices, team meetings, etc., etc.
15 days without pay, assuming coaches follow the same 195 day season pay schedule as the players do and that Tortorella makes 2M (only quick google result) that's costing Torts just over 150k.

I would hope that Tortorella's salary for 6 games would be at least $25,000. I am also wondering why he wasn't held responsible for Sestito doing worse against the Kings a few days earlier.
