@Fan960Steinberg: Giordano has a lower body injury. He's listed day-to-day. #Flames

Well we saw how good this team was without Gio tonight. Is he an MVP candidate yet?

Fortunately Gio has super-human healing abilities. If he's listed day-to-day he'll probably be back for the next game. Frankly I'm surprised he didn't just jump out on the ice halfway through this game.

Ok, someone with computer powers needs to photoshop a Giordano face onto Wolverine's body.

I hear he hasnt played well in Abby but I wonder if Cundari comes up.
Id hoped he'd turned it around by now
Hopefully Gio heals quick

We're playing much better than expected so far this year. Better enough that a top 5 pick seems to be extremely unlikely at this point.
... unless Giordano or Wideman miss any significant time. As mentioned, our D without either of those two is barely above AHL quality.

Gio was noticeable missed. The team didn't have that defensive punch from the back end last night.
I hope he is back able to play quickly.

Hartley also stated Mark Giordano (lower body, day-to-day) will likely be a game time decision tomorrow.

For some reason I doubt this is what you wanted... haha... find me an angry Giordy face and I'll try again!

His value to the team was on display last night. If you expect the current D-core to be able to defend at all you're dreaming.

Stempniak is also in a walking boot apparently.
Wes Gilbertson @SUNGilbertson
It appears that #Flames RW Lee Stempniak is also wearing a protective boot on his right foot.

Now that you mention it I wonder if Gio forces himself back on the ice quicker than he should. Remember it wasn't that long a go he was getting slammed for being invisible and I believe it came out later he was nursing a hitch in his giddy-up last year.
