Default One iMac + Two Cinema Displays

Anyone know if it's possible to have two cinema displays hooked up to one iMac?

A Google search didn't come up with anything definitive.

I'm sure there are less expensive solutions, but a splitter box is pretty much the way to go if you want completely separate displays (separate from each other and the iMac).

If it's this one, you should be ok since it uses Mini DisplayPort. The screen in the buy and sell uses Mini-DVI though (I'm pretty sure).

I'm a lier. The iMac is from 2008. http://www.everymac.com/systems/appl...ryn-specs.html

I already have one of those monitors hooked up to it. Thought another would make me twice as productive...

I use something called DuelHead2Go:

I have a fairly old version of it, but this will get it done.

I was hoping for a simpler/cheaper solution. I guess I'll have to slum it with only two monitors for now.

The new iMacs released today have two Thunderbolt ports, each supporting a separate external display.

Quote:
- Dual External Display Support: Beyond continued support for display input, GigaOM reports that the presence of two Thunderbolt ports on the new 27-inch iMac will allow the machine to drive two external displays for a total of three screens.

One of the most exciting things about today's new iMacs (and the thing that will probably result in me buying one) are the dual Thunderbolt ports on the 27-inch iMac. They're great in that they provide a lot of potential I/O transfer power, but more importantly because it allows the new iMac to output to two external monitors simultaneously, Apple confirmed to me this morning.
