I just blitzed through season one. What an awesome show. Simply incredible. Loved the sound editing. Loved the dialogue, and the soundtrack.
Speaking of soundtrack, theres some piece of music that I think appeared twice, but I can't remember where. Sorry for being vague. It was just instrumental but had a really cool beat to it. And it wasn't any of mthe Chris Joss as far as I can tell. Anyone know? I may rewatch just to find out.
Edit - I'm realising how dumb that question is. Theres too much music in the show. Screw it, it's good enough for a rewatch anyways.
When this show aired there were two Vince Gilligan TV shows. One was a CBS fluff piece that had some potential but really was nothing to write home about and the other (AMC) obviously gave Vince free will to create what he wanted. One is cancelled (A controlling CBS studio) and the other is about to win awards after awards (Or always be in the running).
I spent the last month on Gilligan's Island - binge watching all of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
Excellent series both.
I think they did a very good job in showing what it is like being a legal aid public defender and elder law attorney. I loved the scenes of Jimmy with the elders.
Chuck is an excellent character - so well played by David St Hubbins. I like what Chuck said - do a good job and the clients will come. Maybe in season two we find out what caused him to invent the allergy to electricity.
Kim and Betsy are so sexy, in completely different ways. Kim as the faithful friend, Betsy for her crazy confidence.
Will there be a body count on Saul to rival Breaking Bad (269)?
I knew a lawyer that became a "Slipping Jimmy". He is disbarred now. I always wondered what caused that worm to turn. Probably greed, wanting to seem important, pressure from bad clients.
Better Call Saul Receives 7 Emmy Nominations Including Best Drama, Actor, Supporting Actor and Writing
Chuck seemed like a great guy all around, till it was shown he was the guy working against Saul.
His brother turns over a new leaf, works his ass off, and he can't find it in his heart to forgive him of his past, even while his brother is taking care of him (for an imaginary disease may I add). What a jerk.
I hope electric waves do end up killing him! Hah!
But your right, he was/is a good character, and seemed like a super guy till the end there. Obviously, he's got problems of his own.
Did Jimmy really turn over a new leaf though? When the show starts, he's using the skateboarders to try and scam his way in to some clients. He used the billboard publicity stunt to drum up business. And when he learns that Chuck had been working against him for years, the first thing he does is return to Chicago and re-live his cons with Marco.
Chuck's a jerk, but he wasn't really wrong about Jimmy, either. Especially when you consider we all know where Jimmy ends up.
How this hasn't received a bump on the day of the 2nd season premiere is beyond me.
About half-way through, and how soon were bluetooth headsets introduced? We are at what, about 2004-2006 in the timeline and some jagov is yaking away on a headset.
On an aside, it seems like they are ramping up the progression of Jimmy to Saul. "Donkeyballs".

That was the first thing I thought of when I saw the switch, that something bad happened when he hit it, and that's why he couldn't go out the emergency exit. Then nothing happened.
It was an all right episode. More just filling in where last season left off and moving to a new direction with him joining the firm. Looks by the season previews like his brother is going to become an obstacle in his professional endeavors.
What really annoyed me was all the spoilers for TWD in the commercials. "Look at all the key points that happened!" Sorry, but not everyone has the time to watch these as they come out. I know there will be times when I watch BCS before TWD, becuase my wife only watches BCS. I don't want those major spoilers!
CRAP, this thread was started in 2013, I remember Better Call Saul being mentioned in the Breaking Bad thread. So, with all this I assumed Feb 15, 2016 when I decided to start watching that I'd have more than 10 episodes to watch. Good show, but what a tease, I assumed there were at least two done seasons by now, maybe three.
I caught the tequila being the same right away but totally forgot about the ahole who got his car burnt down by Walter, thought he looked familiar though. Good first episode, loved the spinners on the Hummer and the look on Mikes face.
