Honestly, the best part is that I dont care one way or the other.
I'd rather see the Preds win, but either is fine with me.

Go Preds. Would love to see Subban win it and rub it in the Montreal management's faces.

If you are talking about the days off before the finals I think that is negligable due to the Pens getting 3 days off without travel.
If you are talking about the Preds being less beat up because they have played 16 playoff games compared to the Pens 19 then that is a good point and Nashville may have a slight advantage.

Pens find a way to kick Nashville's teeth in 5 games.

My point was in reference to your second point. However you do have a point in regards to rest and I stand corrected on that part

This is the toughest round to call so far. The Pens have become a great playoff team, but Nashville have also been a great playoff team. I have no idea who will end up winning the cup, but it should be a tough and long series.
7 games and a coin toss for the cup

Let's not forget Weber signed that offer sheet. He was with Nashville for life because he used the Flyers offer to hold them ransom. Which is perfect, but it is the context.
Nashville wouldn't have got there with him anyway. D who drive >>> D who chase

The finals are going to be a 180 for the Penguins compared to Ottaway as it's going to be higher tempo hockey and even with some rest the Pens are coming off back to back seven game series and IMO they kind of started looking a little tired already at the end of the Ottawa series as two straight years getting to the finals is a lot of hockey. I will take the Predators in 6 games.

One has to wonder if Pittsburgh's defence can handle the speed of Nashville.

Can the Pens handle a team that has am actual, functional powerplay? This is also the same Pitt defense that had trouble with a 1-man forecheck by Ottawa.

I think either way it will be a shorter series -- either Rinne is a hero and the Preds run away with it, or he acts human and the Pens run away with it.

Kunitz said yesterday that the Preds play a more up tempo game that the Pens want to play. Less grind, less physical, more open. That ought to help the Pens considerably. I'm going with experience in this series. Pens in 7

Preds in 6.
Pekka Rinne Conn Smythe Winner.
PK Subban brings La Coupe Stanley to the Montreal Childrens hospital. After all this happens, Marc Bergevin and the Montreal Mind trust feel the need for another change in direction. They proceed to trade Carey Price to the Calgary Flames for Sam Bennett, Tyler Parsons, Emile Poirier and Calgary's First Round Draft Pick for the next two years.

Yeah, I'm not giving anywhere near that much for one year of Carey Price.
I doubt I would give up that much for a signed Carey Price.

I'm hoping the Preds win this. What a great story for a great franchise. But my predictions never come to fruition and I have a feeling we'll be seeing the first repeat champs since Detroit in the 90s.
Really really really rooting for the Preds though.

Yes....hockey rarely gives me what I want so I see a Pens repeat as well.

Agreed. 1992 was the first year they went into June, when game 4 was played on June 1st. Three years later the SCF ended on June 24th, although that was from the lockout.

Sorry I forgot to include the fact that it was contingent on Carey Price signing a extension.
