That's precisely why I never got around to starting this thread. To actually say what I wanted I'd have to make a 5000 word post that basically examines every episode. No joke I'd make the OP several times in the last few years (dating back to flip IIRC) but every time it either took too long or was just too exhausting to post everything I wanted.

When I found that top 10 list it gave me an excuse to start the conversation and feel content about letting the thread grow from there.

I think this was in the episode where Bart steals a video game.

Homer: How could you?! Haven't you learned anything from that guy who gives those sermons at church? Captain Whatshisname? We live in a society of laws! Why do you think I took you to all those Police Academy movies? For fun? Well, I didn't hear anybody laughing, did you? Except at that guy who made sound effects. *Makes sound effects and laughs.* Where was I? Oh yeah! Stay out of my booze.

Don't know if this has been posted yet, but Barnes and Noble has this book that has a page on every episode for the first 20 season, pretty cool encyclopedia. I think it cost me $22 all in with shipping.

I have that but only for seasons 1-8 and it isn't quite as fancy. I don't really care for seasons 11-20 but for $20 that's not a bad idea.

Wow so that book is $100+ on amazon. It is 90% off at B&N. Totally buying it.

If they charge duty it's on the sale price right? Duty on $15 will be better than $110. I would think it is based on what I paid for it, not what the regular price is.

They ship with UPS so there may be a chance you get charged brokerage fees.

Oh well, we'll see. I've received stuff via UPS quite frequently previously and never paid any fees. How do they charge that? Same idea as duty? Because on a $15 order it couldn't be that much.

You'd be surprised. UPS normally charges $50 as a base for their brokerage fees. That being said I did some digging and it sounds like Barnes and Noble does the same thing as Amazon where they ship from a Canadian warehouse so you avoid the fees.

Try this coupon code as you might get some money off:

I don't wanna drag this thread too far off topic but what happens if it is $50 brokerage fees? Can I tell them to eff off? Honestly I'd rather just waste $20 than have to pay $70 for a book I only bought because it was $15.

Yeah, IF they charge a brokerage fee you can just say you don't want the thing. They can't hold you to it.

I can't believe the discount. It is $106 on amazon.ca and $60 on amazon.com.

$22 including shipping is crazy.

Ah, so there you go. Sorry for causing any panic. This book looks pretty neat, though. I just cancelled my order since I didn't want to deal with UPS but it looks like now I'll have to re-order it.

I didn't even think about UPS and brokerage fees, something I should consider more in the future when getting things from the states.

I checked receipt again and it said it's shipped with Canada Post should you guys should be good too. Also, the exact price was $22.22.
