Good guy ... bad luck. I hope a little good karma eventually comes his way.

Guess we should have drafted Bryzgalov instead of Krahn

From the QC Times story about Dale Lupul's signing ....

Quote:
In an unrelated matter, McGill confirmed goaltender Brent Krahn has suffered a dislocated kneecap for the third time in two seasons.

The coach said medical staff in Calgary will decide in a matter of days whether Krahn should have surgery or rehabilitate the injury as he did at the start of the season.

Has there ever been a 1st round goalie prospect with this much hard luck?

I had a problem with a dislocating knee - sounds very similar to what Krahn has - it would pop out all the time and whenver it did it meant weeks of rehab just to get it back. It's something that never gets fully better for a lot of people (not that I'm an expert - just have the first hand experience). I ended up completely tearing up my knee the last time it dislocated it.

Overall not a good sign for a good kid - hopefully his broadcasting career goes better.

Too bad for Krahn, but I think he's done. i remember watchin him with the Hitmen at the turn of the millenium and remember seeing how much promise he had.

Really unfortunate.

I like Krahn but it is time to let him go.I would rather see the other guys such as McElhinney, Keetley, Lalande and next season Irving might joining Quad City or Calgary. Krahn's been in the organization for a long time and hasn't improve due to injuries.

Anyone who is suprised by this shouldn't be. I surely hope this is it for him becuase he is taking up valuable roster spots and playing time from other more reliable goalies.
