Default Krahn hurt again

Ol' Kreaky-Knees had his knee cap dislocate again before last Friday's game in Houston. Assistant coach Scott Allen said the last two times it happened, Krahn was out for six and eight weeks respectively. He said they have no time table for Krahn's return.

Allen said this on the radio show Monday night.

He was playing for his contract for next year and i think this will be the last nail in the coffin for the flames organization. I hope he can find a contract somewhere next year and get his career back on track as he is a good goalie when healthy.

I like Krahn so I hate to say it but I think he's done. The guy just can't stay healthy. His knees just won't let him, it might be time for him to think about doing something else.

And that's just about the end of the this needlessly long experiment.

I feel for the guy, but he's finished. I thought he was finished last year before Sutter inexplicably re-signed him.

It's too bad too. This guy's really solid when healthy.

You can't be a professional goaltender with bad knees. Time to stick a fork in him. He's finished. While I hope he finds personal success in whatever career he chooses, this is clearly going to go down as yet another of the Flames' wasted picks.

That really is too bad as he is a great person. I think it time to start looking in a different direction for as he just can't seem to stay healthy. It does make Sutter's job a lot easier with the backlog of goalies (I was hoping to trade one for something though). I can totally see him going over to the media as he is a very well spoken individual.

Ouch, this guy must be getting close to passing Brad Werenka on the Flames all time player who has spent the most time on the IR list.

Cut him loose. He has no future in professional hockey. Give playing time to goalies that might actually make it to the NHL one day.

He can join Dan Blackburn in Canmore. It's only an hour drive from Calgary (Brent married a Calgarian, so I am assuming he lives in Calgary now).

Too bad. They were both highly touted goalies too

He does, indeed, live in Calgary during the off-season.

Did this guy drive a truck through a mirror shop and inherit all possible bad luck?

Thats rough luck, and I hope he can come back, but the prospect of making the bigs with a bum knee is pretty bleak.

Damn it. Well I'm not going to give up on him until he gives up on himself, but things aren't looking too hot.

Oh man, I really hope he can recover and then do the impossible and play his way to the NHL. I have a bet going with a friend, I say he eventually makes it, she says he's never going to do anything. I have to win. That and he's a good guy.

Dan lives in Dallas now, or at least works there.
