Knackstedt is in as well and is going to get a shot on the top line with Locke and Jooris. Locke riding a 6 game assist streak #formerWolve

They are reporting it as a lower body injury. No clarification on severity.

Coaches Comments:

- Room isn't panicking over losses, but they are not happy with them. Getting a point wasn't enough, they want the wins

- Happy with how the team (and Olson's line) shut down the top line of the Stars and didn't allowed them to score and then scored the GWG themselves.

- Chicago is a team with poor structure and will give the Heat the opportunity to score. They have made some changes since they last played them and will have some success. Relies on Allen for success. Needs to get to the goaltending. Needs to put pressure on Allen.

- Davies making AHL debut tonight. Kid has some fire to him. Not a big kid, but has fought in the ECHL. Has a little crossed wire. Scouting staff saw alot of good things in him in college. High moxie and high upside. Had him sit in Alaska to get himself ready to go and then broke his wrist and has worked his way back in.

- From Twitter Question: Is he surprised with the impact that the Heat players have had with Flames. He says no. Always have a good push in your first couple of games being brought up. Dust settles. But no surprise they have success and very happy for them. Now finding out if they can be an every day pro and are getting the opportunity to now.

No defensemen starting, that is a bold decision

Another Fight. Newcomer Knackstedt has dropped the gloves against Shattock.

Rights thrown everywhere! They are just going for it right now.

Lafranchise has shown he is a far better player than him….IMO if it weren't for the family tie he would be less than ECHL ….this franchise continues to put to much credit in family blood lines. La is the real deal when given the opportunity

Yes I am sure bloodlines have a ton to do with why a guy does or doesn't play.

All those stupid nepotism jerks getting free rides on Flames are really pissing me off as well.

If you are going for the cheap shot at the team for keeping a guy around I would have said if he wasn't a drafted guy he would be gone, maybe the American angle with Ward being a Yank as well.

His bloodlines is a very weak made up reason for whining about a guy who is a health scratch.

I am not arguing whether or not he should be there or not I have no idea but saying he is there because of bloodlines seems like a very, very remote possibility of being true. Hard to imagine that is how the team/organization is making decisions. Especially when his dad isn't even part of the organization anymore.

This is not just not an issue within the Flames it is systemic, whether family is associated or not another example with the Heat would be DA why is he here and why is he the "C" IMO hard to understand why he's here based on numbers. games and ice time allocated…. at best he's a below average player in his last season who's going to retire in the lower mainland….tell me pleaaaaaase that wasn't some sort of consideration or favour!!!!!!!!
